FAQ
Quick answers about Miah. Still stuck? Contact support.
What is Miah?
Miah is a warm, ADHD-aware companion app for iOS and Android. You can chat with Miah for emotional support and grounding, park racing thoughts, manage tasks and reminders, and — on paid plans — use voice, your daily Plate agenda, and optional calendar context.
Is Miah medical advice or therapy?
No. Miah is a wellness companion — not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and not a substitute for a licensed professional. If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services or a trusted person right away.
How much does Miah cost?
Miah has a free plan plus two paid tiers. See Pricing for current prices and what each plan includes.
What counts as a message?
Each successful reply from Miah in chat counts toward your monthly limit.
When do my message limits reset?
Limits reset monthly on your signup anniversary — a rolling month from when you created your account, not necessarily the first of the calendar month.
What’s included in the free plan?
Text chat with Miah, Park thoughts, tasks, and reminders — up to 120 messages per cycle. Voice, read-aloud replies, Plate, and calendar context require a paid plan.
What do paid plans add?
Tier 1 and Tier 2 include voice in and read-aloud replies, Plate (your daily agenda), calendar context in chat, Tell me in Chat on tasks, and higher monthly message limits. Tier 2 includes more messages than Tier 1. Details are on the Pricing page.
What is Park?
Park is a separate space to dump racing thoughts — not a chat thread. Thoughts stay on your phone, expire after a few days if you leave them, and you can promote them to tasks or reminders.
What is Plate?
Plate is your daily agenda — reminders, calendar events (when enabled), and active tasks for today and tomorrow in one place. Plate is available on paid plans.
What is body doubling?
Body doubling is companionship while you do something — laundry, dishes, admin, and the like. Start with Body double me or name your errand in chat. Miah stays with you until you tap the chip to end the session.
What is mood check-in?
Once per day in Chat, Miah asks how you’re feeling — Fine, Okay, Low, Rough, Overwhelmed, or Skip. Your choice is private and doesn’t appear as a chat message. Miah uses it in the background to meet you where you are. You can turn on an optional daily reminder in Settings.
What is wind-down?
Wind-down is an evening window (default 7:00 PM to 2:00 AM) when Miah shifts to a calmer tone. Tap Let’s look at tomorrow to preview tomorrow’s agenda without a full data dump. You can change the start and end times in Settings. During wind-down, the mood check-in panel is hidden, if they overlap, in favor of the wind-down panel.
How do I subscribe or upgrade?
Open Miah and go to Settings → Your plan → Upgrade. Subscriptions are handled through the App Store or Google Play on your device when billing is available.
How do I cancel or request a refund?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google. Cancel or request a refund through your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. We can still help explain your Miah plan — use the Support form if you need help.
Is my data private?
We take privacy seriously. Park thoughts stay on your device. Chat and account data are handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
How do I get help?
Use the Support form and tell us what you’re running into. Include your account email, device, and a short description of the issue.
