Account SMS verification
Miah uses SMS for one-time verification codes only — not marketing or promotional texts.
What you receive
When you sign up, sign in, or reset your password with your mobile number, Miah sends a short text with a 6-digit verification code. Sample message:
Sample only — your code is different each time and expires after a few minutes.
Message frequency is one SMS per code request (subject to rate limits). Message and data rates may apply.
How you opt in
Consent is collected in the Miah app before we send a code. It is separate from accepting our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. You must enter your mobile number and agree to receive verification texts, then tap Send code.
Exact consent language shown in the app:
I agree to receive SMS text messages from Miah for one-time account verification codes (sign-up, sign-in, and password reset). Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help.

Create account
By tapping Send code, you consent to SMS for account verification.
Opt out and help
Reply STOP to opt out of further verification texts from our number. After STOP, you will not receive more verification codes by text until you opt in again in the Miah app.
Reply HELP for an automated reply with who the message is from and how to reach Miah support (for example, a short note and a link to getmiah.app/contact). HELP does not sign you in or send a new code — it only returns support information.
You can also contact Miah support directly. Deleting your Miah account stops verification texts to that number for Miah.
